The life story of American Mary Cassatt who dreamed as a child of being a famous artist and earning her own money at a time when women painted as a hobby. Mary studied the Old Masters work in European museums, exhibited her work in Paris, and was the only American invited to join the new Impressionist art group. She blended their way of painting with her own and became one of the world’s greatest Impressionist painters.
