April is National Poetry month which gives all writers and lovers of words a chance to play in this special sandbox. Even writers, like me, who are not necessarily poets.

In the meantime, here’s a hint about what my family did on a beautiful Saturday.
Dirt
Ignored and lonely, patch of land
Pleading for a friendly space
Old hands toiled at soil’s command
Young hands blessed the ground with grace
Now a lovely, blooming perch-
For old and young. Hand-in-hand. Grand!
